PEAK PERFORMER

I began working with David six months prior to the start of the 2008-2009 season.  His goals were to get  stronger and more physical.   While his individual stats improved in all areas, his team also benefited.  Breese Central won  the Effingham St. Anthony and the Nashville International Tournament while taking third place in the Mater Dei Holiday Tournament.  They were Carlyle Regional Champions and Vandalia Sectional Champions finishing with an overall record of 30 wins and 3 losses.

David was selected to the All-Tournament Team in the Effingham St. Anthony tournament, 1st Team in the Mater Dei Tournament and 1st Team in the Nashville Tournament.  He also set a Nashville Tournament record for free throws in a single game (18/20) and free throws made in a tournament (33).  He was also selected to the All-Conference Team, IBCA 3rd Team All-State and AP Poll honorable mention All-State.

“David has become a better all around player.  He is stronger, quicker and a more physical basketball player.  Both on and off the court, his self-confidence in his ability has increased.  He continues to work hard, realizing the off-season is just as important.  I am proud of his determination and commitment.”

“My strength has improved my rebounding, scoring ability and defense (quickness).  Due to my training I have developed into a slasher instead of just a stand around perimeter shooter.”                    David Wiegmann
